Artist: Aidan Haley

Artwork will be available at Silent Auction at the Tastes of the South Shore event. Click here for more information.

Completely intuitive, his work is described as “contemporary impressionism”. Aidan works mainly in oils and fluid acrylics. His paintings encompass a wide area of Canada mainly in Provincial and National Parks. He has travelled extensively in this country even to the Sub Arctic.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT: These paintings in Oil or Acrylic express my love of Canada and of the many areas that I have sketched or painted. I have always attempted to portray the magnificence of our country and can only wish I could have seen and painted more of it.

I’ve spent a lot of time “plein air” painting. I highly recommend it as it gives you a different perspective and heightens your powers of observation. You’ll also have a story to tell with each painting and you meet some really fine people. (
