WILD THING brings together the arts and sciences to create a delightful celebration of the natural world around us.
It culminates on SUNDAY, May 22 at 1:00 pm with a public celebration in Picton’s Benson Park where we're gathering to celebrate the
International Day for Biological Diversity!

to celebrate biodiversity at WILD THING!
On SUNDAY, May 22 starting at 1:00 pm in Benson Park, expect craft tables for kids where they can make things like animal puppets and hats. They can use their new creations in a 4:00 pm procession which will feature music and stilt walker accompaniment! Learn more about what local organizations are doing to support biodiversity by visiting South Shore Joint Initiative, Prince Edward County Field Naturalists, and the Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory information booths.
This FREE, family-friendly event is the culmination of South Shore Joint Initiative's partnership with The Department of Illumination over the last couple months where community and education have come together to create art that depicts our amazing biodiversity in the South Shore.
