What is a Conservation Reserve?

The St Williams Conservation Reserve was established in 2004 upon the closing of the St Williams Forestry Station. The St. Williams Reserve may serve as a model for the South Shore Conservation Reserve. We can benefit from the Community Council’s many years of experience working with the Conservation Reserve management plan and the public. Audrey will explain the process of developing a management plan and the relationship with initially, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and now with the Ministry of 
Environment Conservation and Parks.
