At the SSJI conference last October, the idea of a South Shore footpath was discussed. With good weather around the corner, it is time to progress this initiative.
To that end, we are hosting a Zoom call on Wednesday, April 12th at 7pm, where we will have guest speakers from the Bruce Trail Conservancy discussing Landholder relations. The two guest speakers will be Lyndsey Wilkerson, Landowner Stewardship Coordinator, and Klari Kalkman, Landowner Relations volunteer from the Niagara section.
The specific topic covered during the event will be the art and science of engaging with landowners while also establishing biodiversity awareness.
This is a crucial step in making the South Shore Eco Footpath a reality, and we believe that the insights and knowledge shared by our guest speakers will be incredibly valuable.
We will also be providing an update on the Footpath progress that has been made to-date including a SSEFP 1.0 version from Point Petre to Point Traverse.
We hope that you can join us!
