SaraLou Miller is a self taught artist working in a variety of mediums. Her work is constantly evolving. While her creations have explored styles of metal and textiles, such as in fashion art sculpture installations, costumes, freestyle quilting, slow stitching, and papermaché, her work always comes back to experimenting with the interplay between textiles and other mediums.
SaraLou’s previous work has been shown at Art in the County, Maison Depoivre Gallery, Arts on Main Gallery, Base 31, County Museums- McCauley House, County Studio, Sugar Bush Winery; ( all located in Prince Edward County), Gallery 121 Belleville and past studio tours in Ottawa, Newmarket, Collingwood and Wasaga Beach. SaraLou’s previous work was recognized and awarded two Art in the County Jurors Awards. SaraLou has permanent installations at Base 31 ( Bird Woman) and McCauley House Museum ( Mrs Charlotte McCauley).

Aquatic (abstract batik on wood panel- soya wax /dye batik applied on 100% cotton, 12”x12”) - $250
When this batik was completed it gave me impressions of water and aquatic life.

End of Sunset (mix-media textiles on wood panel, 12”x12”) - $350
Bird images of my own stencil design applied with ink on 100% cotton . They are looking out over the Lake as the last bit of sunset is going down.

I saw a photo of this Bald Eagle and I just felt like painting it. He looks like he is judging us - maybe for how we are taking care of our environment?
