The Great Horned owls inhabited the Secret Wood just across the Black River from where I built my home. As night crept in I could hear their calls over the sound of the falls. From time to time I would see one peering out of the mangled roots of ancient cedars. Looking through my binoculars our eyes would lock . . . it was as if We were One. Happy with the peace of Mother Earth. Owl took 1007 hours over 11 months to complete.
