Artist: Paul Jones

After bird watching for many years I now devote more time to photography. I use Canon gear and most of my early pix were taken with an EOS 30D and 300mm f/4 lens. Now I am using a 5DM4 and a 1DXII with a variety of telephoto lenses from the 300mm f/2.8 to the 800mm f/5.6.

The skill I have was picked up by trial and error on my own, and from tips generously provided from other photographers. Photos I see on flickr are a big inspiration. In addition to static portrait shots I like good images of moving birds in cluttered habitat, but I find they are a real challenge to secure.
