MILLER FAMILY NATURE RESERVE

Join us to explore this unique property owned by the Hastings Prince Edward Land Trust.

We have been given special permission to visit the Miller Family Nature Reserve. The Nature Reserve is an almost 500 acre property.  The Miller family farmed the property for three generations. It was purchased by the Hastings Prince Edward Land Trust in 2012 and will be operated in perpetuity to protect the environment and honour the Miller family roots.

The reserve has areas of cedar forest, large Burr Oak trees, wetland and streams, meadow areas and alvar.  There is a large wetland area at the Lake Shore.  Our stroll will start at the South gate (first one on Hilltop Road past Brewer’s Road) and go through the reserve towards the Lake. 

Parking on Hilltop Road is very limited. We will meet at the corner of Brewer’s Road and Hilltop Road and walk to the Reserve from there.
