Answer
Jasmine “Jazz” Chapman is an avid Kingston based crafter and amateur nature photographer with long familial roots in the County. She is a full-time high school Teacher in the ALCDSB and Videographer/Tech Editor for the Province. Before entering the teaching profession, Jazz held a career as a Communications Specialist for Queen’s U and a radio producer.
Her bird feeder, “Butterfly Dreams,” was the first arts and crafts piece that she made after graduating with a Master of Educational Technology from UBC this spring (2025). Jazz finds that spending time in nature exploring Creation’s beauty provides a celebratory balance in her life that otherwise would revolve around the high tech sphere of learning. Her absolute favourite wildlife are butterflies because she views them as Nature’s confetti inspiring joy and fantastical dreams. “Butterfly Dreams” magnifies the atmosphere of positivity & happiness, as does Jazz’s gentle smile.
