Brenda van Ginkel

Brenda came to the County five years ago to develop a more deeply personal side of her creativity, as an evolutionary shift in focus from an accomplished career as an art director in magazines, advertising, design and branding which had won recognition internationally.

Brenda’s abstract paintings reflect her sensory experiences in nature, particularly of living in the country. In exploring colour and texture, her paintings attempt to express the moods of weather, sounds and the feel of nature.

Brenda lives just outside Consecon with her dog, Angel. She is also working in textiles, designing and making pieces in linen.
