We will meet at the corner of Army Reserve Road and MNR Road at 9 am

MNR Road is the road between the extension of Simpson and Lighthall Roads leading to the Lake. It is #3 on the map above.

This road is generally quite wet with lots of ruts and potholes. We will need sturdy waterproof boots.

As we will be well into the fall, flowers and insects will be rare; however, we may find it easier to spot birds since the leaves will be off the trees.

Please allow three hours for this outing. The walk to the Lake is over a kilometre and we may want to take time to look for wintering waterfowl at the shore.
