for
What is a Conservation Reserve?
featuring Audrey Heagy,
Community Council Coordinator for the St. Williams Conservation Reserve in South Western Ontario.
The St Williams Conservation Reserve was established in 2004 upon the closing of the St Williams Forestry Station.
The St. Williams Reserve may serve as a model for the South Shore Conservation Reserve. We can benefit from the Community Council’s many years of experience working with the Conservation Reserve management plan and the public. Audrey will explain the process of developing a management plan and the relationship with initially, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and now with the Ministry of Environment Conservation and Parks.
Join us to get a head start on the planning process for our new South Shore Conservation Reserve - the first one to be designated in Ontario is almost 20 years! Everyone is welcome to participate in the webinar; however, space is limited. After registering you will be sent a link to access the webinar one day in advance. There will be a chance to ask questions through the “chat” on the zoom platform.
