with

Monday March 22, 7 pm
Invasive, non-native species threaten habitats across Ontario. As a result, native species including plants, insects, birds and fish are at risk of habitat loss and destruction. Our South Shore and the surrounding waters have not escaped this threat with invasive species such as Dog Strangling-vine, Phragmites and Zebra Mussels actively growing and spreading in the area.
Amanda will help us to identify these aggressive invaders, understand their impacts on native species and describe ways to safely control them and prevent their spread.
