Become a Member

By becoming a South Shore Joint Initiative member you are committing to our Mission, Vision, and to our values as expressed in SSJI’s mandate.

If you prefer to process your membership through Canada Helps click here.

For a $25 individual or $40 family membership*you’ll:

  • be invited to take part in our Annual General Meeting in June and enjoy a fascinating presentation by a compelling guest speaker
  • receive 6 e-issues of The South Shoreliner + 12 What’s on Shore e-briefs
  • get exclusive previews of breaking volunteer opportunities, upcoming events and much more!

Most importantly, your membership helps us continue to educate and engage 1,000’s in protecting and preserving the County’s remarkable South Shore.

Since 2018, we’ve:

  • successfully advocated for the creation of Monarch Point Conservation Reserve – 4,000 acres of habitat for dozens of Species at Risk
  • raised funds and completed significant restoration of Hudgin Log House
  • educated all ages about conservation, biodiversity, cultural heritage as well as led hundreds on free South Shore Strolls

We were able to accomplish all of this and much more thanks to you, our current, renewing and newest members.

*Annual SSJI membership dues are $25 for an individual, $40 for a family (up to four individuals including one or two adults and children under the age of 18).  Dues are payable by March 31 each year.

Tax receipts will be emailed within 5 business days.
