Meet at the corner of Cty. Rd. 24 (Point Petre Road) &
Army Reserve Rd.
This stroll will take us through the woods at Point Petre to find and identify spring wildflowers. In other years we have found the Carolinian species Twin Leaf, beautiful Hepatica, Meadow Rue, Trout Lily and several other beautiful wood land blossoms.
We will take time for photographs and will also listen for the calls of migrating birds.
A Stroll donation of $10 per person to help with SSJI's advocacy expenses will be gratefully received.
Be prepared! There is poison ivy throughout the South Shore and ticks carrying Lyme disease are endemic in the County.
