There are so many ways you can choose to help advance our work to protect and preserve Prince Edward County’s remarkable South Shore. Spread the word on social media, pitch in at one of our events (i.e. farmer's markets, South Shore Clean Up Day in September, etc.), volunteer as a committee or working group member, take photos, write an article for “The South Shoreliner” (our bi-monthly newsletter), help us tell the story of the South Shore to community organizations (training and support provided!), fundraise and much more!

Whether you have a little time or a lot, whether you want to volunteer for a one-time activity or take on a leadership role, your time and energy is like gold to this effort.

Sign up below and we'll contact you to talk about your specific interests and availability. We look forward to hearing from you – thank you!

Design and carry out a South Shore Stroll

Monthly Strolls are planned – see the events section of the website. Is there a specific area or natural
feature you would like to bring attention to? Let us know and we can facilitate a Stroll with your
assistance.

Help with online and in person sales

Our Bucket Hats, T Shirts and Tree Towels are sold through our online store and in person at the Eddie's Market or
Wellington Farmers’ Market beginning in June. Are you able to assist with product deliveries in Prince
Edward County? Would you like to join the sales group and spend one or two Saturday mornings this
summer at the market?

South Shore Clean Up

On September 9 we will hold the third South Shore Clean Up. Join us to help Clean Up the South Shore
Beaches and Roads. Are you able to be a volunteer garbage bag distributor? Can you help direct Clean
Up participants and assist in making sure large items get to the big bin?

Incidental staffing of SSJI booths

From time to time SSJI hosts informational booths at events throughout the County. Are you able to
spend 2 to 3 hours staffing a booth? The tasks involve telling people about SSJI, handing out our South
Shore Guide and making sure our display banners are installed and removed.

Special events

SSJI hosts celebratory events for fund and awareness raising. Would you like to join a committee to plan
and carry out a special event?

Fundraising

SSJI’s success depends on our ability to communicate our message throughout the County and beyond.
SSJI’s commitment to education and information about the South Shore provide a valuable public
service. The technology we use to manage our database and online presence requires specialized
expertise. Both the technology and the personnel that apply it require significant funding. Do you have
ideas about fundraising events or opportunities to help us continue our important work?

Will you volunteer?
